What information do we collect and how do we use it?

When you sign the guestbook, we collect personally identifiable information such as your name and e-mail address -- only if specifically and knowingly provided by you. It is not required for submission of comments that you provide any personally identifying information, however your e-mail address is necessary for us to send you a response. If you give us permission to post your guestbook comments and contact information, we may also choose to do so. However, we will not post your e-mail address unless requested by you.
How do we protect your information?
The Official PHYLLIS A. WHITNEY Web site is hosted on a secured server that does not allow access to the public. Firewalls, passwords, and encryption technology protect the information collected and stored by the web site.
What about "cookies"?
Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. The Official PHYLLIS A. WHITNEY Web site does not place any cookies on your computer or record any information about you other than anonymous technical data used for statistical purposes only.

The Official PHYLLIS A. WHITNEY Web site does not sell, trade, rent, or publish visitor personal information to any third party.
